마나한은 “국의 정보부, 도망자 수색대(FSU), 그리고 반테러 그룹(ATG)은 이들 개인의 활동을 한동안 감시해 왔습니다.”라고 말했습니다. “그들의 활동은 이민법을 위반하고 대중에게 심각한 위험을 초래한 것으로 밝혀졌습니다.”
이민 국장인 조엘 앤서니 비아도는 이번 작전의 중요성을 강조했습니다. “이번 급습은 불법 활동을 퇴치하고 국내에 거주하는 외국인이 우리 법률을 준수하도록 하기 위한 우리의 강화된 노력의 일환입니다. 우리는 국민의 안전과 복지를 위협하는 어떠한 행위도 용납하지 않을 것”이라고 밝혔습니다.
체포된 이들은 현재 예약 절차를 밟고 있으며, 추방 절차를 기다리는 동안 해당 기관에 의해 일시적으로 구금될 예정입니다.
BI는 관련 정부 기관과 협력하여 절차를 신속하게 진행하고, 위반으로 유죄 판결을 받은 사람들이 책임을 지도록 하고 있습니다.

PASAY CITY, Philippines—The Bureau of Immigration (BI) successfully apprehended almost 400 illegal aliens during a large-scale raid conducted in Parañaque on Wednesday, targeting an alleged scam operation.
BI Intelligence Division Chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. reported that the operation uncovered the aliens working in POGO-like activities at a company located in Barangay Tambo. Said individuals were allegedly engaged in illicit activities, including online scam operations targeting victims abroad.
“The Bureau’s intelligence division, fugitive search unit (FSU), and Anti-Terrorist Group (ATG) have been monitoring the activities of these individuals for some time,” Manahan said. “Their operations were found to be in violation of immigration laws and posed significant risks to the public.”
Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado emphasized the importance of the operation. “This raid is part of our intensified efforts to combat illegal activities and ensure that foreign nationals residing in the country comply with our laws. We will not tolerate any activities that endanger the safety and welfare of the public.”
The arrested individuals are currently undergoing booking procedures and will be temporarily held by the agency while awaiting deportation proceedings.
The BI is coordinating with relevant government agencies to expedite the process and ensure that those found guilty of violations are held accountable.
“The order of the President is clear,” said Viado. “POGO workers who insist on staying in the country and violating our laws will be arrested and deported,” he warned.
