Key Responsibilities:

Demand Planning

  • Leads the ongoing collaboration with Marketing and Finance teams in the development of unit level operational demand forecasts in accordance with the standard Demand Planning calendar (beyond 12 months rolling horizon and longer period for annual Long-range Volume Forecasting exercise)
  • Continuous improvement of forecast accuracy ensuring use of all available market intelligence (e.g. market trends, promotional activity, brand forecast review process, competitor behavior), and fully leverage the Forecast Error resolution process for root cause evaluation and exception management
  • Work in close collaboration with Commercial and Finance stakeholders to ensure robust and ongoing Unit/Dollar forecast reconciliation to support Operational Plan and Latest Estimate updates
  • Drive and embed best practice and process improvement in areas such as statistical forecasting leveraging SAP, use of market intelligence, excellence in S&OP, proactive inventory management and obsolescence mitigation
  • Actively engage and contribute in cross-market collaboration as required and share best practices across markets as appropriate
  • Execute a collaborative process with the local teams in all activities surrounding generation of both short-term and long-term demand forecast
  • Orchestrate and facilitate key forums to support demand plan generation including Brand Forecast Review meetings, market S&OP, product change management and new product launch meetings, regulatory submission reviews as needed
  • Collaborate with the Plant supply team to maintain correct master data for all relevant SKUs in the demand planning system

Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP)

  • Leads and facilitates monthly in-market S&OP process with cross functional participation from Sales & Marketing, Quality & Regulatory, Finance with the objective of improving/optimizing supply chain operations and meeting financial targets
  • Ensure appropriate demand and supply balancing, providing updates on identified gaps, defining and presenting mitigation plans to all key stakeholders for support and endorsement

Commercial Relationship Management

  • Will be primary point of contact for the business representing BG
  • Perform necessary risk assessment and trend analysis in order to take proactive steps to ensure continuous supply and achievement of inventory and performance objectives
  • Interact with diverse set of supply chain stakeholders and leadership to proactively identify and resolve supply chain conflicts
  • Leverage the above market S&OP cycle to support issue resolution and escalation beyond market influence and capability
  • Effectively and proactively communicate information regarding demand and supply issues, root causes, impacts, and aligned action plans to BG management and marketing and provide regular updates on problem resolution

Supply Assurance and Asset Risk Management

  • Collaborate with Plant supply team ensuring appropriate replenishment plans and inventory management for the market considering lead time, safety stocks and shelf life requirements
  • Ensuring optimal inventory to meet financial performance targets considering agreed distributor inventory requirements and revenue operating plans
  • Review and endorse supply chain agreements and all parameters therein in close collaboration with Plant supply team
  • Work closely with Plant supply team in managing aging inventory and work with Commercial, Finance and Regulatory colleagues to develop mitigation plans to minimize obsolescence risk
  • Identify with plant supply team root causes for supply/obsolescence issues to ensure that corrective actions are put in place and embedded across the organization
  • Proactively manage the impact of supply issues, coordinating with and escalating to Plant supply team, to ensure timely resolution and proper communication with all stakeholders
  • Proactively communicate to Plant supply team on market intelligence and dynamics affecting supply planning
  • Ensure visibility of actual results versus targets (Balanced Score Card) to support proactive collaboration and decision making

Product Change Management

  • Work in close collaboration with BG supply team, Regulatory and marketing for the planning and coordination of product source changes, new product launches (includes post launch analysis), in-line product extensions, artwork changes and registration timelines
  • Ensure that supply plans including stock build strategy are aligned with registrations and regulatory changes, and that all required master data is managed by BG supply team
  • Work in close collaboration with plant supply Planners to ensure all proposed product changes, localization projects and future business development projects are aligned with business and operational planning processes
  • Ensure Finance and Commercial approved proper approval process is in place as needed

Budget Development

  • Supports annual budget demand review process working with marketing and BG to understand and align business drivers, market demand requirements, supply plan and inventory targets
  • Supports market warehouse and distribution budgeting process in collaboration with BG supply team and market logistics team

Operational Excellence and Process/Project Management

  • Drive ongoing process improvement and efficiency of the workflow of all supply chain operations through strategic thinking and collaboration
  • Assist or facilitate major and non-routine supply chain management or regional/global projects that require special attention and coordination of resources

Logistics and Order Management

  • Monitor logistics operations for products on allocation or critical shipments
  • Partner with logistics and Quality&Regulatory team for on time product release (includes monitoring of in-country testing/customs lead time)
  • Manage trade compliance with 3rd party service provider

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree preferably in business administration, operations management, finance, supply chain or logistics management
  • Fluent with English and preferably local language, both written and oral
  • Sound knowledge of principles and strategy for sales forecasting and supply planning
  • Proficient in SAP ECC/APO-DP/SNP/IBP will be an advantage
  • Substantial experience in project management
  • Proven ability to work in a complex matrix organization with issue resolution skills
  • Good analytical, negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Positive thinking, agile and motivates others
  • Self-starter, ability to set priorities and make decisions in a dynamic work environment
  • Creative and open for innovation
