Since December 6, regardless of vaccination status, private gatherings are limited to six people in the metropolitan area and eight in regional.

On December 3, the Korean government announced additional plans to combat the rising cases and it included restrictions on private gatherings, vaccine passes for facilities, and vaccine passes for teenagers.

In addition, vaccine passes can now be used in multiuse facilities including restaurants and cafes. Visitors will need to show their vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test result to enter.

Starting February 2022, vaccine passes will be used for facilities frequented by teenagers. The vaccine pass exemption age limit will be lowered to age 11 from the current age 18.
