About Me — Mr. Jose Mari A. Founder and Director \| DECLA English Academy Hello, and welcome to DECLA English Academy! I’m a licensed professional teacher from the Philippines, a TESOL-certified English educator, and a former university lecturer at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in the Sultanate of Oman. With over 25 years of English teaching experience, I have helped learners develop their language skills, improve their communication, and build the confidence to express themselves in English. My mission is to help Korean students communicate confidently and open doors to greater academic, professional, and personal opportunities. I specialize in practical, communication-focused English lessons tailored to each student’s goals and proficiency level. My teaching philosophy is simple: Fluency first. Accuracy follows. I believe students learn to speak English by actually speaking it—not simply memorizing rules or completing exercises. My lessons are communicative, interactive, and task-based. Depending on your goals, we may use role-plays, real-life scenarios, discussion questions, games, videos, guided speaking activities, and personalized worksheets. My lessons are particularly suitable for Korean learners who want personalized attention, practical communication skills, and a teacher who understands that building confidence is an essential part of learning a language.
