LEARNING ROADMAP

Work Professional Guide

The same work you do today, in half the time.

This isn't about learning to code. It's about splitting your everyday work — reports, proposals, meeting notes, filing — with an AI. You'll pick up prompting, move on to the project, to-do, files, and image tools, and finish with team collaboration.

Who it's for
Office workers · small business owners · team leads
Estimated time
2 sessions a week · about 5 weeks
Steps
7 steps

Learn in this order

  1. 1 Keyboard practice Optional Skip it if you're already quick. Most of your time working with an AI is time spent writing requirements. Slow typing is a direct tax on that. Start
  2. 2 AI fundamentals Required Knowing what AI is good and bad at is what lets you decide which work to hand over and which to keep. The beginner track alone is enough for the job. Start
  3. 3 Talking with AI Required Bring a real work document and talk it through with your Lyen learning buddy. "Summarize this" gets far less than "three sentences for an executive briefing, lead with the numbers." Start
  4. 4 Prompt practice Required Open the lesson, compare a vague prompt with one that supplies a goal, context, and output format, then test both in Lyen. Explain which answer meets your goal and verify its claims. Start
  5. 5 Projects and to-dos Optional Planned: project and to-do tools are not yet available here. For now, save a short task list in your own notes. Start
  6. 6 Files and image generation Optional Planned: the file and image workspace is not yet available here. This step is a preview of future activities. Start
  7. 7 Team collaboration Optional A team using the same method beats one person getting faster. Create a group and share the prompts and materials that worked.

Tips that make it easier

  • Don't invent new work. Take one task you already have and do that one with an AI first.
  • Save the prompts that worked. The same task will come around again next month.
  • Use only data you are allowed to share. Changing names and numbers may not anonymize a document and may change the answer. Prefer a small fictional example when learning.
