Lesson rules
These are the rules every student taking lessons must follow.
These rules are provided to minimize disputes that may arise between students and tutors.

Students pay the tutor directly through PayPal
Students pay the lesson fee directly to the tutor through PayPal. The company is not responsible for the safety of fees students pay directly to tutors.

Always follow this system
Always book, pay, cancel and take lessons through this site's process. This keeps problems with bookings and cancellations to a minimum.
No money compensation — disputes are mediated by the rules
The company does not pay money compensation, such as refunding lesson fees or covering losses. Instead, it mediates disputes between members (tutors included) according to the lesson rules, and it may permanently block members who do not follow the rules.

Teacher choice, lesson rules and usage restrictions
SONUB provides a lesson listing and booking system. It does not recommend any particular teacher or encourage you to take or pay for lessons.
Members choose teachers and make bookings themselves. The lesson contract is made between the teacher and the student, and the student pays the lesson fee directly to the teacher. SONUB is not the party that provides lessons and does not guarantee that a teacher will deliver a lesson.
Teachers and students must read and follow the SONUB lesson rules and terms of use. If a dispute arises, keep your booking and lesson records and payment proof, and submit them so the facts can be checked.
Based on the lesson rules and the records that can be checked, SONUB helps resolve disputes — checking the facts, contacting both sides and helping them agree on cancellations or refunds. If a rule was broken and the needed records do not exist, checking the facts or some of this help may not be possible. This help does not mean that the company guarantees a refund of lesson fees or compensation for damages.
A teacher or student who breaks the rules may receive a warning, a temporary suspension or a permanent restriction, depending on what the violation was, how serious it was and whether it was repeated. For a serious violation, or if a member keeps breaking the rules after being asked to stop, SONUB may end their membership and ban them from signing up again.
Before restricting a member, SONUB in principle tells them the reason first and gives them a chance to explain and to correct the problem. However, when urgent action is needed to prevent further harm — such as fraud, threats or leaks of personal information — SONUB may suspend the account first, then tell the member the reason and start the explanation process.
